I have the pics sorted by reverse chrono, so most recent pictures come up first. The engine, brakes, and body/paint work are progressing nicely. Only 2 weeks to go until the race! Are you pumped yet?

I am amazed that the rear drums are keyed. I would think that would not hold up under race conditions.

That’s how Sven designed them, and if they were good enough for Swedish roads, Swedish winters, and Swedish drivers, I reckon they’ll be good enough for our 500 mile race. The drum and axle shaft have a tapered fit- both surfaced are supposed to be completely spotless, and then they are slid together with the square key in place, and a castelated nut installed. The nut is tightened to 150 ft-lbs, and then rotated until the cotter pin can be installed.

To remove the drum, you need a special puller and big fucking hammer, both of which we have.
