Joe Bruno, the former Senate Majority Leader in New York State government, was convicted of 2 out of 8 fraud counts involving his “consulting” business receiving money from state-connected businesses. I think the common word is kickbacks.
It’s nice to see some cleaning up occuring in state government. Two years ago, the state was ruled by Joe Bruno, Alan Hevesi, Shelly Silver, and Eliot Spitzer. Three out of four have since resigned in disgrace. What’s the holdup, Sheldon?
