    Oh, the Nostalgia!

    That video really takes me back to the old days.

    Back when people would hop into their large automobile go to an actual bricks and mortar building to pick up a physical media device containing a movie and bring it home for their viewing pleasure.

    How is it even possible that BlockBuster is still in business – it boggles the mind.

    @Chris,

    I think BB is closing most of their B&M stores next year and focussing on the Netflix type thing. Whick, frankly, makes WAY more sense. I think the only reason we didn’t have it sooner was the prohibitive postage of VHS tapes.

    I’ve had good experience with netflix, although, typical of any company, they have their bonehead moments. I received a copy of “One Flew Over the Cukuku’s Nest” a few days ago, and when we went to watch it, the player tossed an “invalid disc” error. Knowing that the disc was not crippled, I removed it and noticed they had put a sticker on the center of the disc off-center, thus blocking the DVD player from reading the information around the center ring. I cleaned off the sticker with rubbing alcohol, and the disc played fine.

    I’m really getting into the pre-war stuff. Once I get my ’49 Plymouth running, I might go hunting for a Model A for a daily driver. With the flathead 4, of course.
