Thoughts on Bills/Bengals

I was at a family party, so I didn’t really get to watch the game. So I only have two thoughts:

1. Stevie caught that ball.

2. Same guy?

I don’t know if that catch would’ve made a difference in the game. The Bills couldn’t find a way to stop the rookie QB, and it would’ve been a miracle if they had another first down after that. But the complete ineptitude of the NFL refereeing was on full display.

I heard it explained that there needed to be proof enough to overturn the call on the field. Okay…he caught the ball. What other proof do they need? He caught it, he held it, and he had control of it before his knees touched and before he was touched. It’s not like they had to search for anything to overturn that ruling…everything was right there.

What’s the point of video review if a call that is that wrong doesn’t get overturned?

Also, fuck the tuck rule. At least that one was technically by the book, but it’s the worst rule in football. That being said, why doesn’t every QB just pump fake every play, because then if he fumbles it will be called dead every time.

I believe that’s known as the “Roethlisberger Technique”. Well, that and mixing roofies into a pina colada.

I wouldn’t want to be the guy who posted on last weeks game about the Dick Jauron era and being up 14 points in the first half to then return and choke
